The Adaptive Walk Field Guide
The Adaptive Walk™ establishes the foundational biomechanics of openness. The Field Guide builds on those biomechanics.
The Field Guide assumes that you can initiate and maintain the foundational Adaptive Walk™ pattern without continuously thinking through each biomechanical cue.
Before beginning, you should be able to:
Initiate the Adaptive Walk pattern with a familiar self-trigger.
Maintain an upright, open organization without repeatedly correcting it.
Walk with natural reciprocal movement.
Keep the pathway safely available to vision.
Recover the pattern when you notice that you have lost it.
If these elements still require substantial conscious attention, continue practicing the foundational program before adding the Field Guide experiences.

Open on Arrival (linked to a separate page)
Practice only on a familiar, level, unobstructed pathway away from traffic, stairs, intersections, cyclists, and other hazards.
Keep the walking surface and route available to your vision at all times.
Do not use the practice while crossing streets, navigating crowds, walking on uneven terrain, or carrying a device that requires attention.
Keep head movements modest at first. Stop if you experience dizziness, disorientation, visual difficulty, pain, or instability.
If you have concerns involving balance, vision, walking, neurological symptoms, or another health condition, seek appropriate professional guidance before participating.
